RiverSprings Dental offers a wide variety of services from routine dental health maintenance to cosmetic dentistry. A few of our services include:

Cleaning and Preventative Maintenance

Depending on your dental health, your visit may include any of the following diagnostic and/or preventative services:

– X-rays

– Assessment of periodontal (gum) tissue

– Evaluation of existing dental restorations

– Removal of all plaque and calculus buildup

– Examine and screen for oral cancer

– Fluoride application (18 years of younger)

– Overall evaluation of teeth

 

Non-surgical Periodontal Therapy

Periodontal disease or gum disease is the single most common cause of tooth loss in adults. This inflammatory disease attacks the gums, bone and other supporting structures of the teeth. The type of treatment you require depends on how advanced your periodontal disease is. Different types of treatment may include any of the following:

– More frequent cleaning.

– Scaling and Root Planning – Scaling is the removal of calculus deposits on your teeth. Root Planning is the process of smoothing the root surfaces so the gum tissue can reattach to the tooth.

Tooth colored (composite) fillings are an alternative to traditional metal fillings.  When restoring a tooth with a resin or tooth colored fillings, we can be conservative with the amount of tooth structure removed since the filling material is bonded to the tooth.  Resin is an attractive, natural looking option for restoring decayed teeth.

Root Canals

We offer root canal treatment for diseased or abscessed teeth.

Crowns and Bridges

Crowns are dental restorations that are placed over a tooth when a filling is insufficient to restore the tooth.  A bridge replaces a missing tooth or teeth.  Crowns and bridges can be made entirely of porcelain (tooth colored) material, metal, or a combination of both.

Dentures and Partials

Dentures are an artificial substitute for natural teeth and adjacent tissue.  Partial dentures are prosthetic replacements for one or more missing teeth that can be removable or fixed.  Partial dentures will attach to your existing teeth.

Cosmetic Dentistry – Veneers

Dental veneers are a great way to gain a healthy, white smile in a relatively short period of time with minimal dental treatment.  Veneers may be used to modify or enhance the color, size and shape of your teeth.

Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening is a cosmetic dental treatment used to brighten the natural color of your teeth.  Over the years your teeth can become stained by tobacco, food, certain drinks such as coffee, tea and red wine.  We offer several different options of teeth whitening and we can help you find the one that will effectively achieve the bright smile you desire.

Extractions

Although we have dedicated our time to the care and preservation of our patients’ natural teeth, at times we must extract or remove hopeless teeth for the health of our patients.  Teeth that can no longer be saved due to extensive decay or gum disease must be removed.  Our office can safely and comfortably perform most dental extractions, ranging from a simple extraction to surgical.
